In 2002, the University of Georgia's Vietnamese Student Association (UGA VSA) was established in order
to preserve the Vietnamese
culture and heritage through cultural awareness and to educate those who
are interested in learning our customs, practices, and interests.
Our organization creates and stimulates awareness of the transforming Vietnamese-American
cultural
identity, while also fostering friendship, goodwill, and a sense of
community among our members of all racial and ethnic backgrounds at UGA.
Promote Vietnamese culture and exhort the edification of the traditions among students
Recognize and promote the necessity of community services
Improve relations between students through social events, meetings, and service activities
Encourage and advance the leadership development of young professionals
